Current mood: i use lots of terms loosely and vigorously these days. wicked fucker is a favorite. holy hell batman because it just feel so right to say it. sex on a stick is another fav these days but only applying to men who make me super hot. there are only a few out there. sex on a stick. hell yeah. but i was reminded of a word that i use all the time, everyday, with so many different people in different situations. my kids, my family, friends, the cats. so what did i do? novel idea, erin.....i looked it up in the dictionary. i swear i use it all the time. so here's what i got.
transitive verb1: to hold dear : cherish2 a: to feel a lover's passion, devotion, or tenderness for b (1): caress (2): to fondle amorously (3): to copulate with3: to like or desire actively : take pleasure in <loved to play the violin>4: to thrive in ..loves sunlight>intransitive verb: to feel affection or experience desire
all incredible ways to interpret the word. but the real question is what does it mean to me? i think there are so many different levels of loving someone. i love my children in a way that i never thought possible. i ache when they ache. i laugh when they laugh. they feel joy and i, too, feel overjoyed. it's unending and beautiful and truly a blessing. then there is the love i feel for my friends, i love them, plain and simple. then there's this passionate love. the passion you feel when you are alive, breathing, simply living and feeling and moving through life at a speed much greater than you ever thought possible. that love where it arouses you to wake in the morning. your feet hit the floor and your heart fills with it. you love life. you love your lover. you love your best friend. you love yourself. passion, devotion, tenderness, admiration, assurance, enthusiasm, pleasure. pure complete pleasure. love. use it. you'll like it. no wait, you'll love it. |
